This is an inlaid bottle made during the Goryeo period.
Bottles shaped like gourds were made in China and the Korean Peninsula and were used to hold water and alcohol.
This bottle has an accentuated roundness at the bottom and a slightly narrower top, making it a perfect fit.
Chrysanthemum patterns are placed in black and white inlays in 3 places at the bottom and 3 places at the top.
Placing them in odd numbers is a design unique to the Korean Peninsula.
Chrysanthemum patterns are considered to have a high level of formality when not only the flowers but also the stems and buds are inlaid.
The thick, clear gray-blue-green celadon glaze is thought to date from around the 12th century, and is one of the most vivid of Goryeo celadon.
Jade-colored celadon porcelain was born in the 12th century and was highly valued in the Song Dynasty of China.
You can feel the inlays placed on the large vessel surface, leaving some blank space, and the colors of the elegant celadon porcelain.
There is a large crackle-glazed on one side of the body. The surface of the lower one-third has deteriorated over time. Other than that, it leaves a good luster. There is no conspicuous flaws.
