A buncheong ware jar fired during the Joseon Dynasty.
In Japan, this type is known as "Gyeryongsan" ware and is highly popular among collectors.
The clay body is coated with white slip applied via brushwork, and two sides of the body feature an arabesque pattern painted in iron pigment with a light, fluid touch.
A transparent glaze covers the piece, lending it a soft, lustrous sheen.
It has a sturdy, well-defined ring foot.
The interior of the foot features textured markings made with a spatula to prevent cracking during firing.
