Joseon Dynasty Celadon Bottle with Underglaze Iron-painted

A celadon vase created during the early Joseon Dynasty.
It features the "yuhuchun" (pear-shaped) form, distinguished by a particularly large, bulbous body.
The neck is short yet constricted, while the rim flares outward like a trumpet.
Iron-painted designs adorn the piece: a band encircles the upper body, and further motifs flow gracefully downward from the rim.
The iron pigment is somewhat pale, blending harmoniously with the celadon body.
Early Joseon celadon shares characteristics with the later buncheong ware, utilizing a dry, coarse clay that highlights the natural texture of the material.
The unglazed foot reveals the dry, slightly shrunken state of the clay.
The glaze is applied thinly, creating variations that allow the underlying contours and clay texture to show through.
Likely fired in a high-temperature northern kiln, the piece exhibits a strong luster and tonal variations that create a glass-like aesthetic.

There is some signs of aging on the glaze at the base. Additionally, the rim has turned white due to use, and there are a few small glaze pops on the glazed surface.
