Goryeo Celadon Gourd-shaped Small Bottle with Slip-trailed Butterfly Flower design

This is a small celadon bottle fired during the Goryeo Dynasty.
It features an overall gourd shape with a small opening at the top.
The lower section of the body is decorated using the "itchin" (Slip-trailed) technique, where slip is squeezed from a fine nozzle to create raised designs.
One motif depicts a butterfly, with its wings rendered in white slip and its markings and antennae drawn in iron pigment.
The other motif appears to be a peony; the petals are executed in white slip, while the stems and leaves are painted with iron pigment.
This combination of flowers and butterflies is a classic motif symbolizing eternal youth and prosperity.
Between these designs, Chinese characters interpreted as "喜" (Joy) and "富" (Wealth) are painted in iron pigment.
The applied celadon glaze has a strong green hue, creating a rustic aesthetic with visible specks of iron.
Small bits of stone remain on the base left over from the firing process to prevent the piece from sticking to the kiln reflecting a characteristic feature of Goryeo-period ceramics.

This piece has been cherished and handed down through generations. While it has been carefully used, there are scattered areas where the glaze or "itchin" (slip-trailed decoration) has chipped off. There is a small aged deterioration on the surface, but overall it is luster and in good condition.
