Tang Dynasty Xing ware White Porcelain Bottle with Iron Spots and Leaf Decoration

This white porcelain vase was fired at the Xing ware in the late Tang dynasty.
It has a bulging body, slightly taut shoulders, a narrow neck, and a trumpet-shaped mouth.
The neck is engraved with many fine lines, and two more on the shoulders.
The wide,inverted V-shaped base reveals the white clay and has a beautifully carved center.
The base of the neck is decorated with 13 leaf-like ornaments dyed with iron glaze.
The body is decorated with countless iron spots coated with dripping iron glaze, of various sizes, which create a different appearance depending on the angle.
The mouth is also coated with iron glaze, giving it a refined appearance that is different from the body.
The entire vase, except for the foot, is covered in a milky white porcelain glaze, further enhancing the brilliance of the smooth Xing ware surface.
The iron spots on the body and mouth, the linear patterns on the shape and neck, and the leaf decorations all come together to create an atmosphere that is almost like a plant itself.
For a Xing ware, this is a very rare and precious item.

There is a chip in one spot on the Leaf decoration.Although the surface is slightly aged, It has a nice texture that makes you feel the passage of time.
