Northern Song Dynasty Ru ware Celadon Bottle with Stripe Relief Neck Design

This celadon bottle was fired at the official Ru ware during the Northern Song dynasty.
It has a round, celestial sphere-shaped body, a long neck, and a wide, plate-shaped opening.
The neck is decorated with a design resembling bamboo joints.
Because the glaze is applied all the way to the bottom, five nail marks remain on the bottom where it was placed on pegs and fired.
One of the characteristics of Ru kiln ware is that the nail marks are smaller than grains of rice and evenly spaced.
The celadon that covers the entire vase is typical of Ru ware, with a milky white finish and a thin, glassy texture, giving it a soft, light blue appearance.
This celadon color has been likened to a moist sky after rain.
The slightly viscous glaze causes pores and shallow crackle-glazed on some parts of the surface.
White, granular markings in some areas are thought to be due to the composition of the glaze and are a common feature of Ru ware celadon.
Additionally, the iron in the glaze has oxidized, turning it black, a sign of its age.
The celadon wares from the Ru ware are not only functional pieces as an official kiln, but also many unique and original shapes.
The spherical body and the deep stripe pattern on the neck create a unique look.

There is no conspicuous flaws.There is aged deterioration on the entire surface, but there is some luster.The overall condition is moist and glossy.
