Qing Dynasty Ge ware Celadon Small Basin

This is a Ge-ware-glazed small Basin made in a Jingdezhen kiln during the Qing dynasty.
It is small, shaped like an oval bent like an arc.
The body extends upwards, with a protrusion like a bamboo joint added along the way.
It has a solid thickness, and although it is small, it is heavy at 185g.
The center of the base bulges upwards, which is said to be a characteristic of Ge kilns.
Although it is described as a Basin, with an item of this shape and size, it is highly likely that it was a bird feeder.
It is unlikely that anyone other than those of aristocracy or above would go to the trouble of making a bird feeder out of porcelain, making this an extremely rare item.
The entire piece is coated with Ge-glazed glaze, modeled after the Song dynasty Ge kilns, and a unique white glaze based on celadon glaze.
There is fine, distinct brown crackle-glazed detail.
The brown spots present in places are thought to be caused by iron in the glaze.
The surface that sits on the ground is unglazed, allowing the condition of the clay to be seen.
In recent years, Qing Dynasty Ge ware (Ge Glaze) items have been gaining in popularity in the antique market, and this is a particularly rare piece.

There is no conspicuous flaws. It has good luster throughout and is in good condition.
