Size : H9.1cm W9.7 - 11.5cm
This celadon cup was fired during the Goryeo period.
The rim has a small notch, giving it a flower-like shape, and the body is rounded, almost flower-like.
Three lotus flowers are decorated on the body using black and white inlay.
A single handle with an ivy design is attached between the lotus motifs.
It is larger than the handles on other Goryeo ceramics and serves as a handle like a Western cup.
Three legs, meticulously modeled after animal shapes, are attached evenly to the bottom of the cup to support it.
Animal legs were favored primarily by royalty as they were believed to ward off evil.
A small amount of sand is left on the bottom of the feet to prevent them from sticking to the kiln during firing.
The entire cup is covered in a dark gray-blue celadon glaze with beautiful crackle-glazed.
This is a very rare shape for Goryeo celadon, and the Western-influenced shape and floral design make this a beautiful bowl with great elegance.
There is no conspicuous flaws. It has good luster throughout and is in good condition.
