Southern Song Dynasty Black Celadon Bowl

This is a black celadon bowl fired at the Southern Song official kiln.
It is a low bowl with a diameter of 13cm, but large enough to be used as a flat tea bowl.
It has a small bottom that rises diagonally from the waist and is slightly concave, with the rim curling inwards slightly.
Typical of Southern Song official kilns, the black clay is thinly formed, the bottom is thinly carved diagonally to about 1mm, and the edge of the rim is only about 2mm thick including the glaze.
A generous amount of celadon glaze containing a lot of iron is applied, and it is thoroughly glazed all the way to the bottom.
Although it is difficult to see, there are faint lines carved into the outside of the rim, and a depression is made in the inner bottom to create shadows in the glaze.
The high iron content gives the celadon a dark green color, but the color is mottled due to the thickness of the vessel surface and the amount of iron in the glaze, but this makes for a beautiful sight, like a hazy night sky.
This bowl is lightweight and the dimple in the body fits your fingers comfortably in the hand.

There is no conspicuous flaws.Although the surface is slightly aged, It has a nice texture that makes you feel the passage of time.
