Size : H8.4cm W12.7cm
This celadon censer was fired at the Longquan ware towards the Ming dynasty.
The deep body thin the mouth and has a curved edge.
Three short legs extend from the sides of the waist and connect smoothly to the body.
There is a raised foot at the base, which is thought to have been used to attach a support to prevent the bottom from sinking during firing.
Around this time in the Ming dynasty, the artist's or kiln's seal would sometimes be added, and in the centre of the base there is a seal that reads "天一坊".
The entire piece is covered in a pale blue-green glaze with a slight greyish tint, and the fine texture of the glaze gives it a beautiful impression.
There is no conspicuous flaws. It has good luster throughout and is in good condition.
