Southern Song Dynasty Celadon Long Neck Shape Bottle

This is a celadon bottle fired in the Guan ware style during the Southern Song dynasty.
Guan ware was pottery used by emperors and the imperial court of the Southern Song dynasty, and is of higher quality than general pottery.
It has a round, bulging body with a long neck.
This type of shape was made in celadon kilns during the Song dynasty, and was brought to Japan, where it is stored in art museums.
However, on closer inspection, it is not a monotonous shape; the neck widens slightly towards the mouth, and there is a step around the bottom of the mouth and around the shoulders.
This is thought to be an effect of being made using a mold.
The bottom is thin, about 1mm, and exposes the black clay typical of Guan ware.
Leaving the bottom exposed, a slightly greyish celadon glaze is applied to the entire bottle.
The celadon glaze has a fine granular texture when magnified, and black grains that appear to be iron can also be seen.
The entire piece has large crackle glazed areas typical of Guan ware, but the curved body and the edge around the mouth have fine crackle glazed areas, which are evidence that the crackle glazed areas were natural.
Although the shape is simple, the appeal of Guan ware lies in the various crackle glazed scenes and glaze colors that appeal to the viewer.

There is no conspicuous flaws.There is a small aged deterioration on the surface, but overall it is luster and in good condition.
