Southern Song Dynasty Jingdezhen ware Blue-White Porcelain Plate with Peony Design

A blue-white porcelain plate fired in Jingdezhen during the Southern Song dynasty.
It has a small bottom that spreads out horizontally, and the edges curve in from the waist to form a flower shape.
The flower is carved powerfully with sharp corners, and the glaze has accumulated to give it a beautiful impression.
It is similar to the techniques used in the Yaozhou and Ding ware of the same period.
The entire plate is thinly coated with blue-white porcelain glaze, but it has a slight yellowish tinge due to oxidization firing.
The black spots and colored spots here and there caused by components in the soil and glaze add to the charm of Jingdezhen before it was completed.
The glaze is applied all the way up to the bottom, and the inside of the foot is thought to have been left unglazed and fired with supports attached, making it a rare construction.
The unglazed areas allow you to feel the texture of the fired clay.
Many items remain from the Ming dynasty and later, when Jingdezhen flourished, but items from the Southern Song dynasty are rare and highly recommended for Jingdezhen collectors.

There is no conspicuous flaws.There are some scratches on the surface and some discoloration, but it is in good condition considering its age.
