There is a gentle step around the shoulders, and around the waist there are spatula marks and spiral lines engraved on the garment.
The celadon glaze is thinly applied over the brown clay and is milky white, blending with the transparent clay around the waist, giving a simple, soft impression.
This milky white glaze is thought to have been influenced by Ru kilns, and was seen in the early Northern Song dynasty.
The inside is unglazed and exposed.
This jarlet was made as a container for medicines and spices, but it is also recommended to add a lid and use it as a tea container.
Comes with a wooden storage box.It is an heirloom.
It has good luster throughout and is in good condition. The chip on the rim was caused during firing. The chipped areas on the body are marks left by stone chips during firing.
