Joseon Dynasty Goki-type Tea Bowl with Spiral Bottom

A Goryeo tea bowl fired during the Yi Dynasty.
The name Goki Type is derived from Goki, which was used to hold offerings, and a set of five bowls from the Korean peninsula.
The shape and characteristics are more vague than other Goryeo tea bowls, but it is slightly taller than other Goryeo tea bowls, the mouth does not widen much from the body, and the bottom is high and slightly flared.
While this bowl has these characteristics, it also has some unique features that set it apart from other Goki tea bowls.
The most distinctive feature is the Tomoe bottom which spirals from the bottom and continues in a spiral shape down to the waist.
Spiral bottom bowls are found in Goryeo tea bowls, but they are rare and not very common.
The clay used is rough black clay mixed with pebbles, and pebbles are protruding from part of the surface of the bowl.
It is covered with a gray glaze, and there are red spots that are thought to be the result of ingredients mixed into the clay due to kiln changes.
These spots appear in different locations and give a sense of the difference in temperature inside the kiln.
The bowl is beautiful and gorgeous, like a flurry of cherry blossom petals or autumn leaves.
This is a beautiful Goryeo tea bowl with coarse-grained clay, a Tomoe-kodai foot, and fantastical red spots.

Due to the nature of the clay, there may be chips or small cracks at the bottom, but most of these were caused during the firing process.There is one hairlines small crack on the rim.Although the surface is slightly aged, It has a nice texture that makes you feel the passage of time.
