Period : Song dynasty,China(960 - 1279) / 11-12C
Size : H4.9cm W5.8cm(only a main part)
A jarlet made in a Cizhou ware during the Song Dynasty.
It forms white soil and has a round body with a slightly swollen top and a small mouth.
It is thought that it was used as a medicine pot.
The bottom is exposed and the appearance of white soil is visible, the center is concave and the edges are raised.
The entire piece is coated with black glaze, and by applying transparent glaze over it, a moist luster shines along the beautiful curved surface.
The black glaze is applied thinly, allowing the clay to show through, creating a gradation and creating a tasteful scenery.
Almost the entire inside is coated with transparent glaze.
It's a small and cute jar that fits in your hand, but it's thicker than it looks and feels solid and heavy.
There is a built-in stopper that allows you to close the mouth.
There is a very small chip on the rim, but it is hard to see with the naked eye and is inconspicuous. The surface has slight glaze wear and slight scratches due to use.It is in good condition with a moist luster overall.
