Joseon Dynasty Celadon Mishima Bottle with Inlaid Beads Design

A celadon bottle fired in the late Goryeo Dynasty.
The body is bulging at the top, and the mouth is curved over the short neck.
It has faint potter's wheel eyes and a step on the neck.
The entire piece is glazed with a greyish green-blue color, with fine crackle-glazing.
One-third of the waist area of the vessel surface has turned orange, and it has no luster and is rough.
This is a phenomenon that occurs when the fire is not directly applied during firing and the heat is uneven, and is the appearance that collectors like.
Korean kilns at the time were not very technologically advanced and did not use saggar, so uneven firing was likely to occur, but most of the were failures, and there are only a few that are as good as this one.
The shoulder area is decorated with beads and line patterns using an inlay technique, which is simple for Mishima, but it maintains a miraculous balance without overlapping with the unevenness of the flame.
The deficiency in the glaze at the mouth and the black dots on the surface add to the unique atmosphere.
The bottom is fully glazed with glaze applied to the inside of the platform, leaving some sand on the installation surface.

There is no conspicuous flaws.There are some aged deterioration on the whole surface, but there is luster.The surface of the unevenly baked areas has deteriorated.
