Goryeo Celadon small Bottle with Inlaid Lotus Pond Waterfowl Design
Period : Goryeo Dynasty,Korea(918 - 1392) / 12C
Size : H10.2cm W5.9cm
This is a small inlaid bottle made during the Goryeo period.
Although it is small, only about 10cm long, several patterns are drawn on the surface of the vessel.
The large bulge on the body has a pattern of water birds and flowers floating in a pond, and two cranes are drawn on the top.
It's very cute and small enough to fit in your hand, and the gourd-shaped shape feels great in your hand.
The glaze applied to the entire piece has a vivid green-blue color even among Goryeo celadon.
Another characteristic of Goryeo celadon is that there are traces of firing with three stones nail mark on the bottom.
Although the mouth is very thin, it is recommended to use it as a single flower vase or as a water dropper.
There is no conspicuous flaws. It has good luster throughout and is in good condition. The visible scratches on the mouth are from the firing process, and the cracks have been sealed by the glaze.
