Period : Southern Song dynasty,China(1127 - 1279) / 12-13C
Size : H11.2cm W5.6cm
A celadon meiping vases made in a Southern Song dynasty Guan ware.
The mouth is narrow, the waist is narrow, and the body is rounded from the torso to the shoulders.
This shape was invented in the early Northern Song Dynasty as a drinking vessel, and the smaller Meiping Vases were used as ritual vessels for rituals.
Among ceramics that are said to be more valuable the larger they are, Koume-bin is extremely rare and valuable precisely because it is small.
Although it is small, it is a ritual utensil from the Guan ware of the Southern Song Dynasty, so it is very detailed and has a very well-proportioned overall shape.
The bottom is very thin and sharp, and the glaze is carefully applied to the inside of the bottom.
The glaze applied to the entire piece is celadon glaze, and the glaze develops a yellow color through oxidation firing, so it is called "rice-colored celadon.''
Contains a large black crackle-glazed piece with raised clay.
It is a calming item made as a ritual vessel, and it is a masterpiece that stands out not only as a sake vessel but also as a flower vase.
There is no conspicuous flaws. It has good luster throughout and is in good condition.
