Joseon Dynasty Celadon Bottle with Inlaid Willow and Flower Design
Period : Early Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897) / 14-15C
Size : H11.1cm W10.7cm
A celadon vase made in the early Joseon Dynasty.
The torso is slightly angular at the waist and stretches upward.
The shoulders are gently connected to a short neck, with a curved mouth.
The surface of the bowl is covered with a black and white inlaid pattern, and the body has two types of patterns on each side.
One has a large lotus petal with a flower pattern that fills the surroundings, and the other has a willow pattern that leaves a blank space around it to emphasize its presence.
Two types of lotus petal patterns are applied around the top and bottom.
After inlaying the slightly reddish dry soil, a grayish greenish blue glaze is applied and finely intrusive.
It is an interesting design that looks square due to the placement of the inlay pattern.
About half of the vessel surface is discolored to brown, but it is a good color that makes you feel the times.
