Northern Song Dynasty Guan Ware Celadon Bottle
Northern Song Dynasty Guan Ware Celadon Bottle
Period : Northern Song dynasty,China(960 - 1127)
Size : H22cm W10.1cm
A celadon porcelain bottle made in a government kiln in the Northern Song dynasty.
There is an inscription of "官" on the bottom.
In the Northern Song Dynasty official kilns, some of the ceramics that were brought into the imperial court had such signatures stamped on them.
The glaze applied to the whole is bright and bluish, and looks like Jun ware's celadon glaze.
However, the three spur marks on the bottom and the character “官” on the bottom have the characteristics of Ru ware.
The elliptical bulging body has a melon shape with unevenness in the vertical direction, the lower part bulges with a raised base, and the mouth spreads like a trumpet.
It is a rare celadon bottle with a Western impression, combining color and shape.
There is no conspicuous flaws.Although the surface is slightly aged, it has a good luster.
