Goryeo Celadon Stem Cup with Inlaid Crane Design

A celadon porcelain bowl made in Goryeo.
A wide-mouthed bowl with long, tall legs, it became popular during the Yuan dynasty in China and was made in kilns all over the country.
This is for drinking tea or sake with one hand on the horse.
However, recent research suggests that it was not used on horseback, but was used for drinking, tea, serving sweets, and as a ritual vessel, and is said to be related to the customs of nomadic tribes.
Even in Goryeo, this vessel-shaped cup began to be made after the 13th century due to the influence of Yuan.
Patterns such as flowers, lotuses, and renju are densely applied by inlaying from the tip to the body and legs.
From the 13th century onwards, the number of patterns that fill the vessel surface with fine inlays increased.
The entire piece is covered with a grayish-green celadon glaze that has a slightly oxidized firing, giving it a moist and calm impression.

One place of rim has been repaired chips.There is one chip on the mouth edge, but it was attached during firing.There is a crack on the front face, but it was made during firing.There are some aged deterioration on the whole surface, but there is luster.
