Qing Dynasty Celadon Bottle with Ru ware-like
Qing Dynasty Celadon Bottle with Ru ware-like
Period : Qing Dynasty,China(1616 - 1912) / 16-17C
Size : H19.3cm W11.1cm
A celadon bottle made in the Jingdezhen kiln during the Qing dynasty.
From the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Jingdezhen is said to have respected and imitated the five major kilns of the Song dynasty.
Ru ware-like reproduces Ru ware celadon from the Northern Song Dynasty, and we pay particular attention to the glaze.
Ru ware's glaze is characterized by its light blue color, which seems to contain moisture after the rain.
Ru ware-like imitates it, but it is a modern color with a slightly stronger light blue than Ru ware and a vivid impression.
The matt surface with less vitreousness has characteristics similar to Ru ware.
The shape of the vessel is not the same as Ru ware itself, but the high technology of the Qing dynasty is used, and the base and rim are so elaborate that the clay can be seen through.
A spur mark is left inside the plateau, and the glaze is applied to the entire surface neatly.
The mouth widens to make it easy to pour sake, the neck is narrow and the body is round and plump.
There is no conspicuous flaws. There is a small aged deterioration on the surface, but overall it is luster and in good condition.
