A celadon Jarlet made in an official kiln in the Southern Song dynasty.
Such a shape is an ancient Chinese jade object.
The outer shape is a square prism, and the four corners are carved with embossed patterns, and the long axis has a circular opening.
There were various lengths and various shapes were made, such as bottles, jars, and washers.
The cylindrical hole symbolizes the heavens, and the rectangular outer circumference symbolizes the earth, and is said to symbolize the union of heaven and earth.
This item is considered to have been used as a Jarlet because it is short and has a narrow mouth.
The brown clay is covered with a grayish celadon glaze, and the embossed translucency and penetration are very beautiful.
There are several chips on the bottom.Although the surface is slightly aged, it has a good luster.
