Goryeo Celadon Brush Stand with Lotus Scroll Decoration in Openwork
Goryeo Celadon Brush Stand with Lotus Scroll Decoration in Openwork
Period : Goryeo Dynasty,Korea(918 - 1392)
Size : H9.4 W9.3cm
A celadon brush stand made in the Goryeo Dynasty.
The torso is a cylinder that extends straight vertically, and the torso is decorated with openwork patterns.
The large lotus and arabesque patterns are elegantly bold and powerful, and are three-dimensionally expressed by engraving the lines.
The thunder pattern is placed above it, and the lotus petal pattern is placed below it, giving a tight impression by creating a boundary line.
A clear gray-blue-green celadon glaze is applied thickly over the entire piece, and the glaze that accumulates in the engraving creates a beautiful color.
There is no conspicuous flaws. There is a small aged deterioration on the surface, but overall it is luster and in good condition.
