Yuan Dynasty Celadon Small Teabowl with Incised Flower Design
Period : Yuan Dynasty,China(1271 - 1368) / 13-14C
Size : H6.3cm W10.3cm
A celadon small tea bowl made in the Yuan Dynasty.
It is thought that it was made in a longquan-type ware.
The bottom has a vessel shape that connects to a thin, smoothly rounded body.
There is a thin Incised, with lines on the body and six flower patterns on the front face.
The entire piece is thickly glazed, and the crackle-glazed is so deep that the thickness of the glass can be seen with the naked eye.
It is glazed all the way to the bottom, and the base is exposed, which is a feature of Longquan-type ware.
The mouth edge is also beautiful, and the brown color of the clay can be seen through the melted glaze.
The Longquan ware of the Southern Song has a pale blue celadon color, while the deep green celadon glaze from the Yuan to Ming dynasties is attractive.
There is no conspicuous flaws. There is some clay on the bottom.Although the surface is slightly aged, it has a good luster.
