Southern Song Dynasty Tenmoku Tea Bowl with Hare’s-Fur Glaze
Period : Southern Song dynasty,China(1127 - 1279)
Size : H6.1cm W11.1cm
A Tenmoku tea bowl made in a Jian ware during the Southern Song dynasty.
The abdomen widens while drawing a gentle arc from the inner base, and rises at the top and goes to the rim of the mouth.
The entire bowl is coated with an iron glaze, and the area from the edge to the body is a bright persimmon color, while the waist turns black and a fur pattern appears as the glaze flows.
There are traces of restoration on the front face, but this is also an interesting sight in contrast to the glaze.
One place of rim has been repaired chips. There are chips on the bottom, but it is considered to be from the old days.
There is aged deterioration on the entire surface, but there is some luster.
